Look who is finally ready to find his forever home! It’s Leo aka Louie! This boy has been through a lot and deserves his own family. Here’s what his awesome foster mama has to say about Leo:
Leo is a 6-7 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who wants to be your constant companion. He loves being by his people. The quintessential Velcro dog.
Leo came to the rescue as a stray in very rough shape. He had injuries from being attacked by another dog, was very underweight and to top it off, he had heart worms. He recovered well and continues to be ok with other dogs and children, too. We do not know what he’d be like with cats. Like many GSPs, he puts up with extra cuddles from the foster’s 5 year old child. He’s just a chill dude.
Leo has gone to work with his foster mom and handled being in an office setting well. He lied down by her desk chair and watched her work.
He is neutered and had a mass removed from his head so he’s got a cool scar. He’s healing and leaving it alone. Leo does well in a crate at night and when there’s no people at home. He does well in yard outside when left alone and is very close to being fully house trained. He just needs reminders to go outside.
We aren’t sure what his life was like before but he keeps learning that he’s ok, loved and cuddled. Do you need a cuddle-bug? He’s your guy!
